The full list of possible room rewards include: Meanwhile, the various Boons, Gold, or Centaur Hearts can go towards increasing Zagreus’ power for your current escape attempt. For example, rewards like Darkness and Gemstones won’t help you on your current run, but the currency can be used for upgrades once you return to the start. Each door will have an icon that indicates the reward you will earn for completing the next room, and your choice should be influenced by what you are looking to obtain in this particular run. You may not face the same enemies each time, and even bosses may adapt and change over time.Įach region contains a random assortment of rooms that must be cleared of enemies to proceed, but you’ll almost always have multiple doors to choose from when proceeding forward - eventually leading to the boss of the region. Each region is home to different types of enemies, minibosses, and a final boss. You’ll have to make your way through a series of challenge rooms as you move through the different regions: Tartarus, Asphodel, Elysium, and the Temple of Styx. You can also find powerups that change how your chosen weapon will behave as well, and the key to victory will lie in finding a good combination of abilities and upgrades, as well as a weapon that works best with your playstyle. You can build a meter to call the gods as you attack your foes in each room, but unless you have certain upgrades or boons, the meter will reset between rooms. Once you find an appropriate boon, you can also use a Call of the Gods to temporarily imbue yourself with invulnerability and other effects for a short period. In addition to these, you'll also have your Cast that shoots out a limited amount of red shards that - by default - can make enemies vulnerable for a short period, but you'll need to collect the shards to cast them again, and certain boons can change how the cast works. Regardless of your choice, each weapon has a regular type of Attack, an attack during your Dash, and a Special Attack. Zagreus starts with a sword but other weapons with very different attack methods can be unlocked over time. Certain conversations with mythical figures will evolve over the course of your attempts as more information will be revealed to Zagreus - including his lineage and relations to other important people.Įven after your complete Zagreus’ main quest, you’ll find that there’s more to learn on subsequent adventures through the underworld.īecause Hades is a roguelike action game, no two escape attempts from the underworld will pan out exactly the same, but there are certain mechanics that are important to keep in mind that will always be applicable. In fact, you’re expected to die many, many times - bound to reappear in the halls of your father before you attempt your next escape, and it is often in these minor respites that you can speak with the denizens of the underworld to learn more about the underworld and the secrets your father keeps. However, there is more to this story than may appear on your first attempt to flee Tartarus. It’s main plot is that of the demigod Zagreus, son of the titular Hades, and his relentless quest to escape from the depths of the underworld to reach the surface, in hopes to see Olympus and the other gods for himself. As a rogue-like dungeon delving action game, the story of Hades is told somewhat abstractly.

They often chat about Budden’s terrible fashion choices, which seem to always include a very expensive designer-logo baseball hat. He has a Maybach with a driver and personal chef and has a running bit about jeans being for poor people. Another frequent topic: Budden’s wealth, which appears to derive from his many podcast deals and vanity gig as “head of creator equity” at Patreon (plus “Pump It Up” royalties). The crew talks about New Jersey constantly (Joe grew up in Jersey City and now keeps a 6,100-square-foot McMansion in Edgewater). It’s probably the most honest depiction of friendship I have heard. They have real arguments that turn into full-blown fights, and they ruthlessly make fun of each other in a way that the talent on most shows just don’t. Twice a week, they sit together on two ugly white couches and talk for three hours. They don’t fall into the usual podcast tropes, and they rarely have guests. They are the opposite of people who worked in public radio and worship Ira Glass, and while I can’t believe that their whole thing works, it does. (It’s How Long Gone if my cohost Jason Stewart and I were rich, and I avoid it purely because it makes me jealous.) I listen to music when I exercise and try to stroll the streets of New York City AirPod-free, to take in the sights and sounds.īudden and two of his buddies, Rory and Mal, ushered the show to popularity, but they have since exited following contract disputes and been replaced with an oddly huge cast of characters drawn from a mix of Budden’s old friends: His engineer Parks Vallely (the only holdover from the original lineup), Lamar “Ice” Burney (rumored to be an electrician), Antwan “Ish” Marby (in construction), famous video vixen Melyssa Ford, and a guy named QueenzFlip, who does comedy skits on social media. I don’t bother with The Daily (I can read the news), any true-crime nonsense, or SmartLess, the podcast hosted by Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes that sold to Amazon for the jaw-dropping sum of $80 million. I spend about four hours a week cohosting How Long Gone, a show I love to make, but my interest in listening to podcasts has almost disappeared. I was happy to spend entire afternoons blissed out, enjoying some low-impact audio stimulation. Watching television during the day made me feel like a useless sloth, but this was different. The idea of being entertained in a fresh way took hold of me. I was extremely high on pills most of the time, but the medium was still newish at the time, and I was happily devouring WTF With Marc Maron, Reply All, and The Champs. He added that he would enthusiastically support a more sensitive retelling of the 85-year-old film with a "cool, progressive spin on it" but wasn't otherwise convinced. At one point in my life, I spent hours a day listening to podcasts. "Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soapbox?" he continued. "You're progressive in one way and you're still making that f***ing backward story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together, what the f*** are you doing, man?"ĭinklage stressed that he meant "literally no offense to anyone" and sent "all love and respect to the actress and to the people who thought they were doing the right thing." But his frustration was palpable. It makes no sense to me," he said, about an hour into the 80-minute episode. "Take a step back and look at what you're doing there. The Emmy-winning Game of Thrones star, who has a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia, said he was "taken aback" by the studio's celebration of casting a Latina lead even as it revisits a story with problematic representation of dwarfs. It's Been a Minute with Sam Sanders The (Not So?) Wonderful World of Disneyĭinklage pushed back against the remake in an episode of the "WTF With Marc Maron" podcast that aired Monday.
Then life – and another project car – got in the way, and before I could do much more than drive it, I sold the car. The plan was to turn it into a mild custom with a lowered stance, subtle body mods and maybe a two-tone paint job with some ’flake or pearl. I slapped some new Coker whitewalls on the Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, fixed the weird swing-away steering column that tried to swing away while you were driving and used the low-slung cruiser as a daily driver for nearly a year. The color was a pastel yellow with a cream interior, and the original 390 big block started right up after a tuneup and new belts and hoses. I towed it home and, after some power washing and a lot of vacuuming, the car turned out to be pretty nice. Mike and I had a chat about the car – it belonged to an elderly customer who left it for mechanical work years ago and never returned for it – and after some negotiating the car was mine. Inside, I could barely see the carpet through the thick layer of detritus the creatures living in the car had left behind. Sitting in the middle of all this was a car that caught my eye – a 1962 Thunderbird, in a shade I couldn’t determine because it had two decades of dirt caked on the paint. Old Indy car chassis, pre-war Italian engines and dropped I-beam axles were stacked up like cordwood, and to anyone other than Mike the place was a goldmine. He called it a junkyard, but it was actually pretty amazing. I was there to cover something – I honestly can’t remember what – but got sidetracked and ended up wandering around the fantastic “junkyard” behind Fennel’s Saugus, California, facility. The unmistakable space-age lines and afterburner taillights of the 1962 Ford Thunderbird. The late Fennel was a renown hot rodder and restorer, most notably for his restoration work for the Blackhawk collection, which racked up nearly 150 class wins at Pebble Beach over a few decades. This was nearly 20 years ago, and I was writing for Rod & Custom Magazine and had gone to Mike Fennel Enterprises for a story. I was first bitten by the bug to own a 1962 Thunderbird when I was standing in the junkyard behind a famous restoration shop. If you tend to form calcium oxalate stones, your doctor may recommend restricting foods rich in oxalates. If your urine is light and clear, you're likely drinking enough water. If you live in a hot, dry climate or you exercise frequently, you may need to drink even more water to produce enough urine. Your doctor may ask that you measure your urine output to make sure that you're drinking enough water. For people with a history of kidney stones, doctors usually recommend drinking enough fluids to pass about 2.1 quarts (2 liters) of urine a day. You may reduce your risk of kidney stones if you:ĭrink water throughout the day. Prevention of kidney stones may include a combination of lifestyle changes and medications. Or your doctor may recommend treatment of the condition that's causing your parathyroid gland to overproduce the hormone. Removing the growth from the gland stops the formation of kidney stones. Hyperparathyroidism sometimes occurs when a small, benign tumor forms in one of your parathyroid glands or you develop another condition that leads these glands to produce more parathyroid hormone. When these glands produce too much parathyroid hormone (hyperparathyroidism), your calcium levels can become too high and kidney stones may form as a result. Some calcium phosphate stones are caused by overactive parathyroid glands, which are located on the four corners of your thyroid gland, just below your Adam's apple. You may need general or local anesthesia during this procedure. Your doctor may then place a small tube (stent) in the ureter to relieve swelling and promote healing. Once the stone is located, special tools can snare the stone or break it into pieces that will pass in your urine. To remove a smaller stone in your ureter or kidney, your doctor may pass a thin lighted tube (ureteroscope) equipped with a camera through your urethra and bladder to your ureter. Your doctor may recommend this surgery if ESWL is unsuccessful. You will receive general anesthesia during the surgery and be in the hospital for one to two days while you recover. A procedure called percutaneous nephrolithotomy (nef-row-lih-THOT-uh-me) involves surgically removing a kidney stone using small telescopes and instruments inserted through a small incision in your back. Surgery to remove very large stones in the kidney. The procedure lasts about 45 to 60 minutes and can cause moderate pain, so you may be under sedation or light anesthesia to make you comfortable.ĮSWL can cause blood in the urine, bruising on the back or abdomen, bleeding around the kidney and other adjacent organs, and discomfort as the stone fragments pass through the urinary tract. For certain kidney stones - depending on size and location - your doctor may recommend a procedure called extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL).ĮSWL uses sound waves to create strong vibrations (shock waves) that break the stones into tiny pieces that can be passed in your urine. Kidney stones that are too large to pass on their own or cause bleeding, kidney damage or ongoing urinary tract infections may require more-extensive treatment. They produce parathyroid hormone, which plays a role in regulating the body's blood level of calcium and phosphorus. The parathyroid glands lie behind the thyroid. Large stones and those that cause symptoms Examples of alpha blockers include tamsulosin (Flomax) and the drug combination dutasteride and tamsulosin (Jalyn). This type of medication, known as an alpha blocker, relaxes the muscles in your ureter, helping you pass the kidney stone more quickly and with less pain. Your doctor may give you a medication to help pass your kidney stone. To relieve mild pain, your doctor may recommend pain relievers such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin IB, others) or naproxen sodium (Aleve). Passing a small stone can cause some discomfort. Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, drink enough fluid - ideally mostly water - to produce clear or nearly clear urine. Drinking as much as 2 to 3 quarts (1.8 to 3.6 liters) a day will keep your urine dilute and may prevent stones from forming. You may be able to pass a small stone by: Most small kidney stones won't require invasive treatment. Treatment for kidney stones varies, depending on the type of stone and the cause. They include a Renata CR2032, which is a brand I’ve never heard of it but it’s going strong so far and I have no issues with it. The AT3 RD-50 Pro is powered by a single CR2032. They don’t provide extremely long battery life but they are small and compact which helps when you are concerned with space.īut, they work and nearly all red dot sights use them. The thin peppermint-style pancake-looking batteries are no fun for anyone! The power source for red dot sights is probably their largest weakness. The windage and elevation have a 1 MOA per click adjustment. The knobs will require a small screwdriver or a skinny flat object, such as a coin to make your adjustments. Using the adjustment knobs is easy and fluid. Dot AdjustmentĪdjusting the reticles elevation and windage adjustment is very similar to most red dot sights in the RD-50’s class. The brightness knob does turn in both directions so you can go from powered off to setting one or powered off to setting eleven. When it comes to the reticle on all settings I have no issues and nothing but praise for the red dot itself. I have only had it for a few weeks and have used it 10-15 times but it’s kept its stiffness thus far. It’s somewhat hard to turn but seems like something that once you use it for a few months it will break in well. I find it very easy to see on any setting but the only issue I have related to the reticle is the power dial. The reticle on the AT3 Tactical RD-50 Pro is clean and crisp. The weight is decent and overall it doesn’t add unnecessary weight to your setup. This is lite is especially compared to other options on the market. The mount only weighs 1.1 oz which brings the mount and optic to just 4.7 oz. The weight of the AT3 RD-50 Pro comes in at 3.6 oz and is an incredibly lite package. This adds extra protection for the optic and the lenses of the optic. One nice touch that AT3 included was a rubber cover that has lens caps. The overall materials on the AT3 RD-50 Pro feel solid. The body of the red dot sight is 6061 Aluminum and comes in a matte black anodized finish. Once everything is set, you can go ahead and select the tool to use in the “Draw” panel of the Home tab in the ribbon. Then change the “Workspace” to drafting or drafting (toolbar). In this guide, we shall use the user interface of the BricsCAD ultimate, which combines the functionalities of all the other BricsCAD editions. To learn BricsCAD basics, you have to first understand the key elements of its user interface. If you are a civil engineer, structural engineer, or architect, you should go for the BricsCAD BIM.īricsCAD offers the following functionalities: If you are a mechanical CAD drafter or engineer looking to create 3D models, you should go for the BircsCAD Pro or BricsCAD mechanical. If you are a mechanical CAD drafter or engineer looking to make 2D drawings, you should use the BricsCAD shape, which is free, or the BricsCAD Lite which offers more functionalities compared to the BricsCAD shape. Various BricsCAD editions are offering various functionalities. However, it has evolved to become a much more capable CAD program with many unique features.īesides being a great 2D drafting CAD program, BricsCAD fully integrates Parabuild, a detailing package for drawing parametric 3D steel structure models, to automate the process of drawing 3D structural steel models and automatically generate various outputs like CNC data and shop drawings. In the beginning, BricsCAD had been designed to be an AutoCAD alternative.
I think it's been compiled for ARMv7 and the Zero is an ARMv6 processor. The issue has been reported to our chrome expert and is being investigated. We would expect all application to work, especially the browser. while it was working fine (not a speed demon, but working and not crashing) with Buster on a PI zero W. I understand the comment made by some that running chrome-browser on a Pi Zero W might not be the best experience given ressources available / consumed. I found it baffling that -the- browser that is included in -the- official bullseye release that is to be used for all Pi version leaves that type of discovery to the end users. (I am not asking in general "in the full universe of packages that could be compiled for a raspberry" but merely to the limited scope of what is in the official distro) Is there an official set of releases notes that come with Bullseye for Raspberry that document things that work, things that dont, limitations. I am going on about it because it seems to me that something is wrong with my system, and I am hoping to get a pointer as to what that is and how to correct it. I can see nowhere a statement that certain included apps will not run on RP Zero W, so If I close bookshelf, let things settle down, then click the chromium-browser icon in the top bar, a task including the word browser very briefly appears, then disappears before I can even read its name, and that's it. So the CPU is the limiting factor, and also I can detect that Bookshelf is running. If I start Bookshelf, which does work, the CPU will go up to 100%, the Memory does not increase much (maybe to 120MB), and a new task rp-bookshelf appears which uses most of the CPU (about 92%, other associated taks taking up the remainder of the 100%). I have the Task Manager open, and baseline shows the CPU between 3% & 20% used, and the Memory about 108 MB of 429 MB, with lxtask taking most of the CPU. Thanks LTolledo, and thanks especially for the screen shot.īut my chromium-browser does not run AT ALL. |
